Thanksgiving

So it's been a while since I posted the first half of this entry.  I am just getting around to finishing it.  Thanksgiving was wonderful, thanks mom and dad.  We of course had lots of food and lots of fun.  We went to see the lights at temple square.

The floating Nativity was cool this year.

Then Dad took us out for some riding.  Of course that is always fun!!  We drove to the top of the hill and enjoyed the view.
Here's mom and dad...
and Clayton and Me.  Now Clayton is convinced we have to have 4-wheelers.  I don't think I'll argue with that.

San Diego

Thanks to Ashley and Brik (and really Ashley's dad) we were able to take advantage of some unused rooms in downtown San Diego. So we started our trip by going down to the Gas Lamp District on Fri. night then to breakfast on the top of our hotel. Mmmm Pancakes!

Then it was off to Seaworld! Here we are petting the sting rays.

Wow! the killer whales were amazing !

We went crazy trying to touch the dolphins!

Then we went over to the WWII memorial stuff they have in San Diego.
We went and toured the hotel Del Coronado, what a cool place!!

And last we went to the old light house on point loma.

Pirates Cove

So this place was DOPE! The only thing I can compare it to is pirates of the carribean at disneyland. We spent almost the entire time in the pool. This is me about to jumo off the crow's nest.

This place had 2 waterslides and a buch of stuff to jump off. This is Jarek climbing up the rope swimg.

This place had everything. There were flatscreen TV's everywhere. It even had a pizza oven, we had a really good time.

Happy Halloween

Our friends had a pumpkin carving/caramel apple dipping party and we skipped the pumpkin carving and went straight for the apple dipping. As you can see no one was kind enough to answer Clayton's question of how you are supposed to eat them. Absolutely delicious though!!

Then on Halloween night, we headed to Palmdale to spend some time with Clayton's family.
Travis was a bat and he figured out how to hold his arms out to show off his costume but wouldn't do it for this picture.

Then there were the best costumes ever!!! I don't know these people but I loved their cosutmes.

Words

So...I never post just words but I feel like these were way to appropriate not to post.

"Other misfortumes may be borne, or their effects overcome. If disastrous war should sweep our commerce from the ocean, another generation may renew it; if it exhaust our treasury, future industry may replenish itif it desolate and lay waste our fields, still, under a new cultivation, they will grow green again, and ripen to future harvests. It were but a trifle even if the walls of yonder Capitol were to crumble, if its lofty pillars should fall, and its gorgeous decorations be all covered by the dust of the valley. All these might be rebuilt. But who shall reconstruct the fabric of demolished government? Who shall rear again the well-proportioned columns of constitutional liberty? Who shall frame together the skilful architecture which unites national sovereignty with State rights, individual security, and public prosperity? No, if these columns fall, they will be raised not again. Like the Coliseum and the Parthenon, they will be destined to a mournful, a melancholy immortality. Bitterer tears, however, will flow over them, than were ever shed over the monuments of Roman or Grecian art; for they will be the remnants of a more glorious edifice than Greece or Rome ever saw, the edifice of constitutional American liberty." (Daniel Webster, Feb. 22, 1832)

And off they go, good luck guys! The girls just took a very needed rest on shore.

And Brandon, he had too long of a week, he slept during the whole second surfing trip.

Happy Birthday Clayton!!!

Yay, Clayton is 25. Look how hot he is. What a lucky girl I am. And I do have to admit, I did pull off a pretty good surprise, the first secret I've ever kept since we've been married. Two of his presents were totally unexpected. I've been holding on them at work for more than two months and I never blew the surprise. He was very happy. Then we went to dinner with his parents and Mary and Scott. Thanks for a fun night guys, and Happy Birthday Clayton!

USC Pride!!

This is us on our way into the stadium, passing through the rose garden.
My favorite part was the marching band.

and of course this guy. Look how awesome his outfit is, he would ride around the field on a white horse too, with a sword.

Check out his legging/boot things.

Final score USC 28 Arizona 0

Mexico, Puerto Panasco (Rocky Point)

Yep, it is just like this the whole time. Awesome!

But the vacation started with the drive from Cedar City to Mesa, AZ so there was the drive through Lake Powell which Clayton had never seen before. We stopped at the dam and admired it's incredibleness.
Don't worry dad, we took some dam pictures and admired the dam boats, and ate a dam hamburger, etc. etc.
Then on past the Grand Canyon, we didn't have time to actually drive through the park, but the landscape looks pretty cool outside the park from the main highway.

Flagstaff was having a monsoon. It was awesome and I decided that this will be my next home. I loved that place.

Then a quick stop in Arizona, we met up with the Nielson's met the fam's and bought some groceries, then we headed on to the border. It was dark when we arrived but this next picture is what we woke up to in the morning. This is the view off the balcony of the condo.
There was a lazy river, a waterslide, and several pools. We lived in our swimsuits. It was great.
We ventured out to the town and Clayton of course had to have a picture of this place.
We shopped in the shops, didn't buy a thing and then rented this ranger and went jeeping. I must admit I was a wuss. I was terrified the whole time. Yeah, I know, that's not like me but we also rented jet ski's. Clayton had never been on one before and he had the time of his life. We just don't have any pictures of that.
Here's us in the pool. Clayton loves that hat.
We basically went from the ocean, to the pool, back to the ocean, ate, back to the pool, and then the ocean, you get the picture. Here is Clayton and Brik snorkeling. We all went out the last morning when the tide was really low and we saw all sort of awesome fish. Kind of like finding nemo. I felt like I was on the discovery channel. And yes, just for the record, my head was under the water.

Don't ask what this is. I have no idea but it was really disgusting.
Then there were all these hermit crabs. They were so cute. Running all over the place.
Here is a jelly fish. Some lady was walking around picking them up. She told us they were argentinian jelly fish or something like that and they could sting us. None of us ever got stung though, thank heavens. We only saw them on the shore, never in the water. Kinda strange.

We went out to dinner at the Hacienda. It was awesome with the best avacado dip ever.

A huge rainstorm came through. We thought it was going to rain a ton but it basically went all around us. It was beautiful.

These are the famous snorkeling goggles. Anyone who wore them instantly looked amazing.

The view off the front balcony.
Then during the rain, we got the spa treatment, Massage and pedicure. Yep it was my first pedicure ever.
Here's the final product.

We did more snorkeling and swimming in the morning and then headed out. Sadly, now it's all over and we are back at home. But it was an awesome vacation.
