Griffith Observatory

Thursday night we were bored and I had never been to the observatory before, no movies sounded good, and the sky was clear, so we ventured out, called up Jarek and met up at the top. The view was beautiful, the fog layer had already started moving in so it looks a little hazy.

Of course we had to check out our weight on each of the different planets, I don't know if you can see it but I was 400 lbs on this one, thank heavens we don't live there. (We'll just blame it on the pregnancy weight)
Life size periodic table, how exciting is that.

This building was build in 1935. It is huge and beautiful up on top of the hill, and the best part is... it's free. We stood in line and looked at the moon through the massive telescope up on top. The roof has a whole in it for the telescope to see through and then they just move the roof every time they adjust the telescope as the moon rotates across the sky.
The end.
