Camping San Onofre State Beach

We met up with friends from South Pasadena and John-Stephen at San Onofre State Beach, which is about 30 minutes north of us in Camp Pendleton.  It is gorgeous.  The campsites are right on the cliff overlooking the ocean.  The train also goes right past so you hear it every couple of hours during the night, but that's ok.  It was totally worth it.

Anna was loving the dirt.

The sunset was awesome.

More dirt.

Pehrson blew up the air mattress and then had to figure out how to get it into the tent.  It worked.  Somehow.

Campfire gathering

The tent was like the most exciting place Anna has ever been.  She rolled around laughing for a while before she fell asleep.

The marine layer was so thick it covered the tent in water drops and was a little chilly for a couple hours in the night/morning.  But warmed up fast.

Then we all walked down the path to the water and the boys all surfed.  I forgot my stroller and Anna was getting heavy.  Lindsey P was kind enough to share.  Thanks Linds.

The women and children playing in the sand.

Surfing the same wave.

The kiddos

This little guy was almost caught up in the next wave right after this picture.  Who knew the water would come that high all of a sudden?

Beautiful Beach

Lindsey headed back up.

Our little campsite on the cliff.  Good thing Anna's not a mover yet, or she'd have been right off the edge.

Electrocution?

Her hair is so nicely combed when she goes to bed.  I'm not quite sure what happens during the night.

Game Day in South Pasadena

We miss the Rudelich's!!!!  We drove up to stay overnight with them.  Also, it was game day for USC, maybe Utah?  But we got a big ole pizza and enjoyed hanging out with our friends.

The boys.  Luke, Clayton, and Bridger

Family. Dinner. Beach.

Clayton called me from work around lunch time and said, "Don't cook dinner, I have a good idea."  And it was a great idea.  KFC on the beach for dinner.  So much fun.  Thanks Clayton!!!

Randoms Again

We were just hanging out in our front yard.  Probably cleaning the car or something and Anna was just chillin in the grass.

Dad comes home for lunch just about every day.  Sometimes for 45 min and sometimes for 2 hours.  It is great.  We love having him here.

I go for a walk up and down the really steep streets of my neighborhood for a workout, a couple times a week and I saw this random Peacock.  Weird.

Shelf

My belly is now just a shelf for her to rest her arm.  Haha!!

Beach

We live less than 15 minutes from the beach.  It is fabulous.  We will try to go as much as possible, especially since Anna loves it so much.

Temple Trip

We went down to the San Diego temple and had a babysitter.  Thanks Bethanie Rosell.  It is great having cousins and family around.  We really appreciated it and it was a wonderful night.
