So it does snow here...

Rumor is that Big Bear got 2 feet the other night. I say, keep it coming.

Christmas Decor! Yay!

Notice the rearrangement of the furniture and the book basket with our christmas story books.

Sorry, we couldn't take the pictures with the lights off. I wasn't in the mood to play photographer, sorry Lyndee.
No, we haven't started a fire yet. I mean seriously, at 65 degrees? Just kidding, it has gotten colder than that but we don't have any wood. One day we'll go buy some and I'm sure it will be a monumental occasion, like camping with the boy scouts.
More garland and lights to spread the christmas spirit.
Here's our newly aquired nativity. We absolutely love it!

Tis the Season

Oh the joys of the "Head Cold"
I think many people know what this is like...
Whiny, whiny, me
And the ever patient caretaker. (Hey, I can't be the nurse all the time.)

This is dedicated to all you people out there, just so you know, you're not the only one.

San Diego

Here is our trip to the NIMITZ in San Diego with Mike and Beth and Beth's sister Erin and her Brother Mark who is stationed on the NIMITZ. Little Mikey was adorable as usual.

I will post more later. The computer won't let me finish right now. So until tomorrow at least...

Ski-Dazzle

So fake snow is the best we've got here right now. We went to ski-dazzle at the L.A. convention center last night and paid the door entrance and got two tickets to Big Bear Resort and then Clayton got lucky and won a ticket to Mt. Baldy, then he won one to Brianhead. Then we paid $15 bucks for a second ticket to Mt. Baldy so I can go too. We entered to win all sorts of vacation get aways but we will let you know if that happens. I got a Ski Utah bag and we checked out all the gear on sale but ended up not buying anything. The tickets were enough for us that night. Anyways it was a good time and we saw some skaters on a half-pipe and won free stuff, how can you ask for more?

John-Stephen and the "bubbly"

How does 25 mph all the way back from vegas sound? Ok it wasn't all the way but mostly, and we even left at 7 AM.

Not moving

Thank heavens Clayton's dad knew a short cut.

Get me out of this car!!!

L.A. Auto Show

(above) Who knows what this little thing is supposed to be. :)
Now this is my dream car. This was the best looking one in my opinion. (below)

So since we are here in L.A., we are taking advantage of all the cheap events that we hear about. We went down to the convention center with our friends the Farr's (Brad and Shanell). We saw some pretty cool cars and some we want to buy, one day in about 500 years. ha, ha. Some of the pictures we took just for you Dad...

... like this jeep on the rotating platform
... and this racecar. I kinda felt like I was in a boomerang. I almost didn't fit in that thing between the bars.
Here is Clayton's car. Only the price of a small house.

Here's the hummer for you Chris, this'll be your next Christmas present
Of course we had to hit the SAAB section
And I don't really know what this one is but I'm sure Clayton could tell you.
Here's Brad and Shanell in front of a really cool truck.

Explanation

Palm Springs was a weekend conference for the GI department at my work. Vicky and Tess are the other two nurses I work with and the other girls are in different sections of GI. Those two doctors are two of the three that I work with directly. I went down for the classes and the weather on Friday and Saturday one weekend in October. Sorry, I am just barely getting the pictures up now.

The Sand Diego fires hovered a little but the smoke was much better than LA at the time

The Casino!

I started out with five bucks and ended up with nine. I was the big winner of the night. The only one that came out with more money than I started with.
