Flowers

This is mostly just for Lyndee. But flowers were delivered to my apartment today and I was so excited. They are from the gym I workout at. How nice is that? And roses too. They smell awesome.
These are the flowers I am working on keeping alive. Mom helped me pick them out and start planting them. I am picking up planting for my spare time. Lets hope they are not too high maintenance. But I love them.
Here is my strawberry plant that Clayton thinks looks like an alien child. And the plant behind it, I brought back from the dead. It is getting rather large and I love it as well. (There are 6 strawberry plants and That is cilantro in the top of the strawberry pot.) I guess we'll see how everything turns out.

The convalescent

Saturday night, Sept. 15? Pneumo #4.
Thankyou everyone for your prayers, they were and are much appreciated. We love you all so much.

It's official. Pneumothorax #4. Not only were there chest tubes this time, but surgery as well. The problem is now corrected and should never happen again. Yay!!!!! We rushed to the ER at Cedars-Sinai, where I had already been discussing with doctors whether to have the surgery or rather when, and scheduling tests. Apparently I was a little impatient and wanted to getting it over with. Thank heavens we got it all over with at once. The doctors and nurses were great. 4 days in the hospital. And a week and a half off of work.
Here is our view from our 8th floor window. It was actually pretty, but you can't tell in the picture.
And the pinball competition never paused. Clayton is the reigning champion
A few days after getting out of the hospital, we took a restful trip to the beach. Mom came to stay with us and help. What a blessing, we wouldn't have survived without her. She learned how to boogie board for the first time and had the time of her life!!!
Clayton had a pretty good day too. Here's a pic of him catching a wave.

And I didn't do a whole lot. Just napped. The weather was perfect.
There you have it, the latest update on our drama drama.

More Fun at the Beach!

Fun Day! Small Waves!
I have had a lot of time off of school latey.

The New Suit

The coolest suite ever. Bought it for cheap at the Fashion District in Downtown LA. We are planning on taking all family members there when they visit. The suit is tight and it came with all the accessories. You just have to hem the pants which mom did for us cuz she is amazing!!! This shopping exursion occured just before the hospital frenzy.

Surfing! and a little boogie boarding too

Here's the surfing process, waiting for the wave, standing up, wipeout (a necessary part), and then riding out the next wave in coomplete succession.

What on earth? A paddle on a surf board? This guy seemed to be awfully successful. Click on this picture for a better look.

Oh what a blast!!! (and not nearly as difficult)

Our new Favorite Restaurant... The Barn Burner

After the rose bowl we went out to eat to drown our sorrows of BYU's loss
It was good 'ole Bar B Q!
They also had a live band, really fun!

Rose Bowl

We were baking... the sun was right on us!
It was packed with over 72,000 people. Maybe a few too many.
So she doesn't know a thing about football,
but she did admit it, we had lots of fun.
There was also the ocassional,
"So which way are we trying to go?"
and "So do we have the ball?"
Maybe next time we'll actually get to
the explaining of the rules... Maybe...

We walked 9 holes to get to the stadium.

We had to park on the golf course, because the

Rose Bowl is in the middle of the course.

Very Pretty.

White Coat Ceremony

Clayton is oficially supposed to assume the title "doctor." He had his white coat ceremony this last wednesday. He is the one in the second to last row. (One of the two blond haired guys.) We forgot our camera so we had to use the cell phone, sorry.

Yeah, I look sorta frumpy, don't worry about that.

Don't worry, we found the beach!

Clayton got a surfboard and he has become quite the professional. He taught me how once and it was a blast but the next time I tried, I experienced my first "washing machine." Not so enjoyable. But we will probably try again tomorrow.

Welcome to LA

Well, we are officially settled. It's been 2 months since the big move and we are loving our new home. Our apartment is great. My job is fantastic. They've renewed my contract for another 3 months so I will be able to stay there til January. Clayton finally started school. Orientation is officially over and classes begin on Tues. He has met some fun people. So we are back into the swing of things and loving life. Of course we miss all of you but we hope to see you soon.
