Madrid

This day was Madrid day.  We saw all the awesome things people go to Spain to see.  Unfortunately pregnancy wasn't looking to hot on me that day.  But the sites were beautiful.

 Don Quixote and Sancho

This is an Egyptian temple that was taken apart stone by stone and put back together again.  Weirdos, why would you move something so random?  But is is super cool.

This is by the Egyptian temple looking at the castle and cathedral

Cool apartment buildings

Hooray for Fanta Naranja!!!!

The back side of the castle

The side of the castle with the cool guards in their awesome hats.

The cathedral was ride next to the castle

The courtyard in the main castle.  We took the tour and held the audio devices that told us extra stuff about every room

Looking out over Madrid

We posed in front of these statues of Isabella and Ferdinand and right after us, some other lady tried to do the same thing and the guards wouldn't let her because apparently you weren't supposed to take pictures here.  We couldn't take pictures in any of the rooms in this castle.

These statues were all supposed to be on top of the castle as guardians or something but when they tried to put them there, they kept falling down or something so they line the garden path instead.

Plaza Mayor in Madrid and the cool bubble man making money off the tourists.  Pretty sweet, not gonna lie.

For some reason I look really ornery but I wasn't

The Oldest Restaurant in the World!

Suckling pig

I got almond chicken.  Amazing food and totally worth a wait outside.  Luckily we didn't have a wait, we got there really early and had to keep our spot at the front of the line by elbowing people out of the way.  Crazy.

Spanish lovers, oh and Clayton by the statue of Fransico de Goya

A random cathedral we found while walking around.

Puttin on the Ritz

A memorial to people who had died in a Spanish war

Banco De Espana

Walking around downtown Madrid was absolutely awesome.  There's really no other way to describe it.

The next day we took the train and bus to the temple.  What a great place.  I got to wear the headphones for the translation but I almost didn't need it.  My spanish is getting a little better.  Well not the speaking part but the comprehension anyway.

We bought this outfit for Anna in Toledo.  But realized we needed to take a picture of it for documentation.  So cute!
